Phil Loadholt was born January 21, 1986 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He resided in both Hawaii and Colorado while growing up. In high school, Phil Loadholt was a standout football, basketball and track and field athlete. He was team captain of the football team and led the basketball team to state during his senior year.

College

He played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners and tied for the record of tallest starter on the Oklahoma Sooners team. He played primarily as left tackle. He was an honorable mention by Sports Illustrated.

Previously, Phil Loadholt played for Garden City Community College for two seasons and worked on his strength and blocking. During one season alone, Phil Loadholt had 93 pancake blocks and 113 tackles.
