Norm Katnik was born on July 2, 1981 and calls his hometown Santa Ana, California. He played college football at the University of Southern California before being signed by the San Francisco 49ers as a rookie free agent on May 2, 2004. The Minnesota Vikings signed Katnik on November 8, 2006.

NFL

2006: Norm Katnik was placed on the Minnesota Viking’s practice squad. 2005: Signed by the New York Jets on November 21, but was inactive in weeks 12-14. Played in short-yardage situations as a tight end in week 15. Inactive weeks 16 and 17. 2004: Placed on the San Francisco 49er’s practice squad on September 5.

College

Played four years at USC. Played every position on the offensive line during four years. Was a finalist for the Rimington Award (best center) for his 2003 senior season. Played in the Orange Bowl his junior year.
