Nehemiah Broughton was a 222nd pick in the 7th round of the NFL 2005 draft. He played for the Washington Redskins from 2005-2008. However a torn ACL kept him off the fields in 2007 and he was relegated to the practice team in 2008.
In January 2009, the Carolina Panthers expressed interest in Nehemiah Broughton and signed him that same month. However, by March 2009, they released him and he was added to the Minnesota Vikings roster in May 2009.
College
The Citadel is Nehemiah Broughton's alma mater. He completed his college career with the Citadel Bulldogs with 581 carries for 2,638 yards, meanwhile majoring in sports management. These types of records land him currently as fifth on The Citadel Bulldog's record for yards in career carries.
High School
Nehemiah Broughton graduated from North Charleston High School in South Carolina. During his senior year, Broughton was an All-State selection. This was based on a solid performance: he rushed for 1,670 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Nehemiah Broughton was traded to the New York Giants in 2009.
