Naufahu Tahi was born on October 30, 1981 and calls West Valley City, Utah home. Attended Brigham Young University and played four years of college football. Entered the NFL on the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad in 2006. Signed by the Minnesota Vikings off of the Bengal’s practice squad on September 4, 2006.
NFL
Naufahu Tahi joined the Vikings on November 22, 2006 but was inactive for the games he suited up for.
In 2007, Naufahu Tahi finally saw playing time. He played in 10 games and had a career best 4 yard carriers in a game against Oakland in November.
College
Naufahu Tahi ran for a career-best 872 yards as a senior and scored eight touchdowns, six on the ground and two in the air. Had 136 total yards versus Notre Dame in his senior year. Led his team in rushing his freshman year with 445 yards on the ground.
Personal
Naufahu Tahi attended Granger High School in West Valley City, Utah and was named the USA Today Player of the Year for the state of Utah as a senior. Ran for over 5,700 yards in high school and set a state record for rushing touchdowns. Left football from 2000-03 to serve a Mormon mission in Jacksonville, Florida.
