Kevin Williams was born on August 16, 1980 and calls his hometown Fordyce, Arkansas. Played four years of college football at Oklahoma State before being drafted with the ninth overall pick of the 2003 NFL Draft.

NFL

2008: Kevin Williams was rolling in honors by the end of the 2008 season! He was voted by his fellow Minnesota Vikings teammates as the Vikings Defensive MVP. Wililams also was recognized as a First-Team All-Pro player. He was then chosen as an NFC starter for the Pro Bowl. During the regular season, Kevin Williams had 8.5 sacks, which put him tied for first among all defensive tackles in the league.

2007: Kevin Williams was an essential part of the Minnesota Vikings top ranked defense. He was chosen for the All-Pro 1st team, which marked the 3rd year he made this distinction. Kevin Williams also earned his 3rd trip to the Pro Bowl.

Kevin Williams made an immediate impact on the Vikings defensive squad. He posted 10.5 sacks in his rookie year, trailing only the Baltimore Raven’s Terrell Suggs among rookies. 2006: Rewarded with his second career Pro Bowl invitation for his exceptional play. First-team AP All-Pro. Was a key part to the eighth ranked defense in the league. 2005: Was second on the team with four sacks even though he missed two games. Was inactive against Detroit on December 4, snapping his streak of 43 straight games started. 2004: Had a big season, earning AP All-Pro honors and a starting spot in the Pro Bowl. Led the NFL in sacks by the defensive tackle. Leader amongst all defensive tackles in All-Pro votes. Set a Vikings record for most sacks in his opening two seasons with 22.0. Had 11.5 sacks on the year. Set a Vikings record for passes deflected by a lineman with 10, breaking an old record of seven by Randy Holloway. 2003: Led the Vikings with 10.5 sacks. Was a consensus All-Rookie team honoree. Set a Vikings rookie record by making three sacks in the season finale at Arizona on December 28.

College

Kevin Williams was a force on the Oklahoma State Cowboys’ defensive front line for four years. Started 42 games in college. Compiled 160 tackles, 38 tackles for losses and 18.5 sacks during his career. Was a key part in improving the Cowboys 3-8 record in 2000 to an 8-5 record in 2002 to go along with a Bowl appearance.

Personal

Kevin Williams attended Fordyce High in Arizona and played tight end and defensive lineman. Was also an All-State basketball player.
