Darrion Scott was born on October 25, 1981 and calls his hometown Charleston, West Virginia. Played four years of college football at Ohio State and was then drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft.
NFL
2006: Darrion Scott led the Vikings with 5.5 sacks in 2006. Started 13 games and played in all 16 games. Helped the Vikings to the top ranked rush defense. 2005: Became a full-time starter. Tallied 80 tackles on the season and ranked second on the team with four sacks. Made a career-best eight tackles in two games, one against the St. Louis Rams and one against the Pittsburgh Steelers. 2004: Made first career sack against Green Bay when he downed Brett Favre in the Wild Card game on January 9, 2005.
College
Darrion Scott was a big part of returning Ohio State football to the top of the national ranks. Helped his team upset Miami in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl. Started 11 games his senior years at defensive tackle after starting 20 games at the defensive end spot as a junior and sophomore. Started 31 games out of 48 played.
Personal
Darrion Scott attended Capital High School in Charleston, West Virginia and was twice named a USA Today Honorable Mention All-American and All-State. Also was a star basketball player, leading his team to the state title as a senior.
