Chris Kluwe was born on December 24, 1981 and his hometown is Los Alamitos, California. He was a four year punter at UCLA. Kluwe was originally a Seattle Seahawk before being signed to the Minnesota Vikings on September 4, 2005.

2007: Chris Kluwe had the best season of his career due to a 44.7 gross average. Chris Kluwe even set the Minnesota Vikings record with 34 punts inside the 20, which shattered the old mark of 28 (which he tied in 2006). By the end of the 2007 season, Chris Kluwe was ranked 3rd in the NFL.

Chris Kluwe made his NFL debut versus Tampa Bay on September 11, 2005 and was an immediate impact player for the Vikings. Has 45 career punts inside the 20. Has never had a punt blocked 2006: Tied a Vikings record with 28 punts inside the 20. Pummeled his career-long ball of 68 yards versus the New York Jets on December 17. 2005: Was tops in the NFL among rookies and second in the NFC with a gross average of 44.1 yards per punt. Became the first Vikings rookie to receive Player of the Month honors when he was NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September.

College

Chris Kluwe was a finalist for the annual Ray Guy Award given to the top college punter. Had 25 career-high punts inside the 20 as a senior. Also had a 43.4 yards per punt to rank second in the PAC 10. Set UCLA records as a junior with 91 punts for 3,908 yards.

Personal

Made a 60-yard field goal in high school. First-Team All-CIF honored as a junior and senior.
