Chris Clark was born on October 1, 1984 and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a three-sport athlete (and four-year letterer) at McDonough 35 High School. In football, Chris Clark was named all-district and he had a chance to compete in the 2002 all-star game in New Orleans. In track, he earned the top spot in the region for shot-put and discus, and he also lettered in basketball. All of this was completed while Chris Clark maintained a high GPA and established himself on the honor roll.

College

Previously, Chris Clark played college football for the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles football team. As a Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles football player, Chris Clark redshirted his 2003 season and then came back to see lots of action starting in 2004 and carrying through his senior year in 2008, earning him 39 straight starts uninterrupted. He racked up honors during his college years and was a first team pick for seven selections ranging from CBSsportsline.com to Phil Steele's choice.

NFL

Chris Clark caught the eye of the Minnesota Vikings with his speed and strength. He was a member of the Minnesota Vikings practice squad in 2008 and by 2009, Chris Clark joined the official Minnesota Vikings roster for the 2009-2010 Vikings season.
