Bryant McKinnie was born on September 23, 1979 and his hometown is Woodbury, New Jersey. McKinnie played two years of junior college football at Lackawanna before transferring to Miami. Was drafted seventh overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2002 NFL Draft.

2007: Bryant McKinnie now holds the honor of longest consecutive games played and starting streak (87 out of 88 games as a starter) among the current roster of Minnesota Vikings. Bryant McKinnie was a hige part of the Minnesota Vikings #1 ranked rushing offensive line and contributed to a Minnesota Vikings record of 2,634 rushing yards.
Bryant McKinnie largely aided the Vikings offense since his insertion in the lineup, helping them rank first in 2003, second in 2002 and fourth in 2004. Was only offensive player to start every game in 2005. Aided Chester Taylor in 2006 when Taylor ran for 1,214 yards, the fourth best single-season performance by a Vikings running back.
College
2001: Bryant McKinnie was a first-team All-American his senior year at Miami. Named National Player of the Year by CNN/Sports Illustrated. Was eighth in voting for the Heisman trophy at the underappreciated offensive lineman position. Anchored the Miami offense that was third in the nation with an average of 43.2 points per game. 2000: Was an All-America first-team pick by The Sports Xchange and Football News. Didn’t allow a sack in the entirety of the 2000 season.

Bryant McKinnie played high school football for two years at Woodbury High School in New Jersey. Had 13 sacks his senior year. Was a team captain. Also a track and field athlete.
