Aundrae Allison was born on June 25, 1986 in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Allison played college football most recently at East Carolina. He had an immediate impact on the East Carolina Pirate program in 2005, as he was caught seven of the teams 14 touchdowns passes. The explosive wide receiver started in all eleven games that he played in the 2006 season, and he was able to lead his school to its first bowl game since 2001 season. Overall in his career at East Carolina, Aundrae Allison played a total of 22 games, caught 145 passes for 1,732 yards and 11 touchdowns.
NFL: 2007 Aundrae Allison is best known to Minnesota Vikings fans for setting a record for the longest play in Minnesota Vikings history:
a 104-yard kick-off return touchdown against the Detroit Lions on December 2, 2007. Aundrae Allison's success didn't stop there. He ranked third in the NFL with a kickoff return average of 28.7 yards and was the highest-ranked rookie in the NFL.
Before transferring to East Carolina, Aundrae Allison played junior college football at Georgia Military Academy, where he played in the 2004 season. While there he caught 70 passes for 865 yards and 11 touchdowns.
In high school, Allison played at A.L. Brown in Kannapolis, North Carolina, where he made 50 catches for 1,101 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior. Allison was selected as an Associated Press All-State selection for his performance that season.
