Artose Pinner was born on January 5, 1978 and calls Hopkinsville, Kentucky home. He attended Kentucky for college, playing four years of college football. Was originally drafted by the Detroit Lions in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. The Minnesota Vikings signed him as a free agent after he was waived by the Lions before the season opener.

NFL

2006: Artose Pinner started his first game as a Viking against his former team (Detroit) on December 10. Posted his first 100-yard game of his career in that game, gaining 125 yards on 29 carries and scored three touchdowns. 2005: Played in all 16 games, starting two of them. Finished the year as the Lions second leading rusher with 349 yards and three touchdowns. Also caught 21 balls for 181 yards on the year. 2004: Played nine games with two starts. Finished the year with 174 yards on the ground with two touchdowns on 57 carries. Had 11 catches for 72 yards. 2003: Started the last two games of the season after sitting out for most of the start of the season. Made NFL debut at Kansas City on December 14.

College

Artose Pinner compiled 2,105 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns on 438 carries in his career at Kentucky. Also logged 407 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 58 catches. Was All-America honorable mention his senior year by CNN-SI.

Personal

Artose Pinner was a three year starter at Hopkinsville High School in Kentucky. Finished his high school career with 704 rushing attempts for 5,829 yards and 8,114 all-purpose yards. Was all-conference and all-area for three years. Also lettered three times in track and was a regional winner in the 400 meters.
