On Sunday, October 18 at noon, the Minnesota Vikings will take on the Baltimore Ravens at the Metrodome. This should be an interesting game because of how well the Baltimore Ravens performed in 2008. John Harbaugh was new head coach during that season and Joe Flacco was a rookie quarterback, yet they did better than most anticipated. In a game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Baltimore Ravens' Ed Reed broke an NFL record for the longest interception ever returned for a touchdown (108 yards).

 Vikings Ravens

By the end of the 2008 regular season, the Baltimore Ravens were sixth in AFC playoffs. At this point the team really came together. They defeated the Miami Dolphins (27-9) and Tennessee Titans (13-10) and were one game shy of the Super Bowl when they fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers (23-14). Though they fell short of the ultimate championship game, the Baltimore Ravens were a team to watch in 2008 and with a year of experience for their quarterback and head coach, they should be in even better form in 2009. The Minnesota Vikings had a similar experience in 2008. The team finished the season with a 10-6 record and also won the NFC North title. However, they lost in a wild card game to the Philadelphia Eagles (26-14)..

The Minnesota Vikings will probably have to up their game plan against the Baltimore Ravens and it promises to be an exciting match-up.
