If the Cincinnati Bengals' 2009 season is anything like their 2008 year, then the Minnesota Vikings have no reason not to beat this team. By the end of 2008, the Cincinnati Bengals posted a 4-11-1 record and did not qualify for the playoffs for a third consecutive year.

Additionally, the first 8 games were all losses for the Cincinnati Bengals, putting them on a Detroit Lions-like track. Though the Minnesota Vikings did not play against the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008, the latter team fell to many of the opponents that the Minnesota Vikings went on to beat.

The Cincinnati Bengals are coached by Marvin Lewis who was with the team for five previous seasons. Cincinnati Bengals tight end, Ben Utecht, was one bright spot on the team and he was signed to a multi-million dollar deal to guarantee a spot with the Cincinnati Bengals for years to come. Wide receiver Chad Johnson, usually a sold player, did no perform well in 2008-along with many formerly strong teammates.

The Cincinnati Bengals will be in our own backyard on Sunday, December 13, 2009. The game begins at noon and should be an interesting match-up. Of course, the Cincinnati Bengals are coming with something to prove and they may see the Minnesota Vikings as a chance to start accumulating a winning record. However, the Minnesota Vikings are coming off a 10-6 winning record from 2008, which easily defeats the Cincinnati Bengals' 4-11-1. Players like Pat and Kevin Williams and Adrian Peterson are sure to attract lots of fans to the Metrodome. If you'd like to catch the game live, purchase your Minnesota Vikings tickets today!
