The New TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN

The first home game of the 2009 Minnesota Golden Gophers football season is set to be played on September 12, 2009 versus the Air Force Falcons and will be played in the new TCF Bank Stadium.

The new stadium took the TCF Bank name because of TCF Financial Corporation's contribution of $35 million towards the stadium for naming rights, over a 25 year period. Other funding for TCF Bank Stadium is coming from a $12.50 per semester student fee, game day parking, donations from individuals as well as the income to the stadium for other events being held at TCF Bank Stadium, to name a few.

TCF Bank Stadium will seat 50,300 at it's completion for the 2009 season. This will include 39 suites, 59 loge boxes and 300 indoor club seats. The seats will be 19 inches with 33 inches between the rows. TCF Bank Stadium will have the potential to expand up to 80,000 seats. TCF Bank Stadium will be popular, especially for the first season, so be sure to get your TCF Bank Stadium tickets soon!
