Jacque Lemaire had his 500th career coaching win, the Minnesota Wild captured their first Northwest Division Title, and the team went head to head with the Colorado Avalanche in the playoffs. Although the Minnesota Wild were defeated, the season marked a high in the Minnesota Wild's short history.
