Arizona Cardinals

In all their re-creations, renamings, and moves, the Arizona Cardinals are regarded today as the oldest NFL franchise team.  In 1898, the origins of the Arizona Cardinals were founded in Chicago and known as the Chicago Cardinals.  In 1944, the Arizona Cardinals merged briefly with the Pittsburgh Steelers to make ends meet during the war.  In 1960, the team was moved to St. Louis followed by Phoenix in 1988 and finally Arizona in the early 90s.

Despite their long history, however, the Arizona Cardinals have never captured a Super Bowl title.  Yet, several names from past Cardinals players live on in the hall of fame:

Ernie Nevers, Guy Chamberlin, Ollie Matson, Charley Trippi, Dick Lane, Larry Wilson, Roger Wehrli, Dan Dierdorf, and Jackie Smith.

Dennis Green coached the Arizona Cardinals for two years until Ken Whisenhunt took over in 2007 and led the team to an 8-8 record.  It seems coaches come and go regularly for the Arizona Cardinals; many have stuck around for only up to 3 years.  Ken Whisenhunt make follow the same path though many hope he'll be around for a while.

The Arizona Cardinals wear red and white jerseys and updated the Cardinal logo to a fiercer looking bird in 2005.  In 2000, a ballot initiative was passed by a very close vote to provide funding for a new stadium.  The new home of the Arizona Cardinals is in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona.  In 2003, games were officially held in the new facility which has a high functioning air conditioning system, comfortable seats, and retractable roof.

Around the same time, the Arizona Cardinals were also transferred to the NFC West division.  This means that the Arizona Cardinals are now competing directly against the St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks.

The Arizona Cardinals are steadily improving and have a beautiful new facility to inspire better play.  Arizona Cardinals tickets are available today.  You can buy Arizona Cardinals tickets safely and securely with no hidden fees.  Catch a game in their new stadium or on the road; either way, Arizona Cardinals tickets are available today!
